Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ma Zhaoxu's Remarks on the So-called Chinese "Internet Espionage" Threat Depicted in the US Congressional Report
2009/10/26

Q: It is reported that the "US-China Economic and Security Review Commission" under the US Congress released a report on October 22, asserting that the Chinese Government is intensifying its internet espionage activities against the United States. How does China comment on that?

A: This so-called commission has always drummed for the "China Threat" theory. The report it released is fabrication of facts and fraught with cold-war mentality. We urge the commission to change its course and stop releasing such reports so as to contribute to China-US relationship.
